Mission Briefing

You have been hired by a corporation that will remain nameless.  This entity will herein be known as the corporation.  The corporation will provide you with minimal resources.  An initial lump sum to make hires and several weapons re-supplies will be provided as seen fit.  The corporation's involvement with your team must remain minimal for the corporation to remain as discreet as possible to international scrutiny.

A major competitor of the corporation is Delco Oil and Grain.  Delco is involved in oil refinery and developing new seed hybrids for agricultural purposes.  Recently Delco's research and design labs rather accidentally created a new substance, known as compound "g".  The properties of compound "g" are as of yet not fully explored.  As of this time this compound shows hardening properties that have resulted in it's application in personal armor technology.  Delco it would seem is poised to expand it's reach in global markets.  Delco is planning a major move into the arms market.  Compound "g"'s known properties alone means Delco stands to increase it's market share in the armors market substantially.  The corporation does not want this to happen.  This is where you come in.

Sierra Gordo

Sierra Gordo is a small developing country that Delco is currently extremely active in (for a geographical summary of Sierra Gordo click here).  Delco is closely linked with the SG (Sierra Gordo) army, and the SG government.  So close are these links that the country of Sierra Gordo is functionally run by Delco.  Sierra Gordo has also been host the majority of Delco's R & D efforts.  As a side note compound "g" was developed here.  The relevance of this information is that Sierra Gordo has recently come under fire for their brutal handling of several civilian protests at Delco industries R & D complexes.  In particular there was an incident two months ago in which 124 civilians where killed by government forces acting under alleged government orders.  The UN has activated trade sanctions against Sierra Gordo but no in depth investigation is under way.  The corporation has it on good authority that Delco was in fact responsible for this massacre.  The corporation has also learned that there is a surveillance video tape of this incident that would provide definite proof of Delco's involvement in the massacre.  This videotape would provide a powerful bargaining chip for the corporation in dealing with Delco for the rights to compound "g".

Recent Developments

You are not the first team the corporation has sent.  A first team, referred to herein as Alpha team, (for details on Alpha Team click here) was hired and sent to retrieve the video tape unfortunately both the corporation and Alpha underestimated the ability of the SG army.  The last transmission from Alpha was received four days ago.  At this time they were under assault in the northern part of the country.  However the last transmission revealed that Alpha had obtained information on the whereabouts of the videotape and it is within the country.

Objectives

Your insertion details are summarized here.

In performing the above task it is recommended that you first find the survivors of Alpha or their remains and obtain the information they held on the location of the videotape.  To do this the corporation suggests you infiltrate the Data Center located in sector E9.  For details click here.
